According to the U.S. Copyright Office, a copyright is a “form of protection provided by the laws of the United States (title 17, U. S. Code) to the authors of ‘original works of authorship,’ including literary, dramatic, musical, artistic, and certain other intellectual works. This protection is available to both published and unpublished works.”
In order to comply with copyright laws, and protect the interests of clients, EPiC Measures, LLC (EM) requires a Work for Hire or a Copyright Assignment Agreement for derivative, compilation or “original work (s) of authorship,” created by EM account managers, for marketing strategy, business communications and intellectual capital creation projects. Client acknowledges that creative works remain the property of EM, and may be recycled at will, if Client fails to obtain a signed original of either Agreement.
Although referrals to legal service professionals may be provided, Clients are responsible for obtaining all required Agreements plus related legal counsel. Read this.
